What is EGC?

The Electronic Gaming Convention (EGC for short) represents the San Antonio Area's newest fighting game tournaments. We are  bringing together the best of the best from around the world in a dazzling exhibition of skill and fun, as players and fans gather to honor the competitive spirit in an open format and determine a champion.
Our tournaments are about more than just winning. These tournaments will be open to anyone attending our event. They will feature stations available for relaxed free play, and offer unique opportunities to meet people from different countries and different walks of life who share your passion. Established champions face off against unknown newcomers, and new rivals that might have only talked or fought online meet up and become old friends.

Hide of Hide My Error Cosplay brings their passion for creativity to every one of their projects as a cosplayer, cosplay judge, and model on the international cosplay stage. They have been cosplaying for 7 years, from working with materials from their closet to hand sewn outfits, their ever-growing skillset and infectious joy of their craft can be seen in their hand-made creations, from costumes to jewelry to wigs—and more!

Mollie Blanco

South Texas songwriter Mollie Blanco is a multi diverse artist born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Her audience fell in love with her smooth transitioning harmonies and hard hitting punchlines . Blanco’s passion for music came from listening in to local producers recording sessions while growing up in San Antonio , Texas as a teen.. Mollie quickly found peace in the creative process of creating records from scratch . She wrote a lot of poetry as a teen and later down the road started pursuing songwriting. Once Mollie created a couple singles she and her street team did the footwork needed to get Mollies sound out to the masses. Blanco did back to back local shows four times a week for two months straight. After this grind her team's work paid off . Mollie was easily landed shows with legendary artists like Bone Thugs N Harmony, Post Malone, Slim Thug, NBA youngboy and just about every upcoming artist you know. Blanco has helped establish popular recording studios throughout Texas. One being Mollywop Productions located in Corpus Christi, Texas, That kicked off her music career she is most proud of. Currently the South Texas artist is working on different singles with different producers all over Texas. It is also said she is dropping an album this year in 2021,  we’ll keep you posted . Claude Xavier

Claude Xavier, is a cosplayer, model, and pro physique competitor based in San Antonio, TX.
He has been featured SYFY's Fan Creator Friday Spotlight, Drop The Spotlight: Artist of the Month, Cosplayzine, and Concept Moon Magazine.
His cosplay journey began after attending his first comic convention 2018. From there, with the help of his wife Paradox Cosplay, Claude developed a passion for bringing characters to life for non-profit organizations focused around children with disabilities, low-income families, and charities alike.
Although he loves the atmosphere of conventions and cosplay photoshoots, it’s the smiles and the kids’ excitement that give him the greatest joy – the true magic of cosplay.

Paradox Cosplay

I was just a normal girl in Puerto Rico minding her own business; doing modeling, surfing, selling art and mentoring students afterschool, until I met my now best friend, Jeinellys. 
She got me involved in this amazing world of videogames, manga/ anime, fanarts and cosplay. 
After joining the U.S. Army and getting settled in San Antonio, Texas I came across this incredible cosplay community in which I've been able to make such great friendships, spread my love for cosplay to others and grow more as a cosplayer! 
In that same manner I got my husband, Claude Xavier (cx.cosplay) involved in this cosplay world that he now loves and enjoys so much too! 
As far as cosplay goes I'm always looking to expand my reach and awareness for love and equality in the community, learn new ways to build, craft and create for the sake of cosplay, and polish my photography/ editing skills. I hope I can make a difference in the world through my cosplay / photography by bringing people together and showing them that life can be so much more fun if we enjoy what we do, respect others and love ourselves more.

William Instone

William Instone Award winning filmmaker
William Instone (Co-Writer/Co-Director,/Producer) has been working in films since 2007. A self taught film maker; he wrote,
directed, acted in and edited his first feature film JON in
2009. He is both an award winning Writer, Actor and Director from
multiple film festivals. A lifelong Horror fan, his current 
feature film Butcher Bluff is a throw back to the 1980s slasher genre.

Paige Steakley

Paige Steakley is a Texas-based actor and singer who has a BFA in acting and minor in vocal performance. She spent her college years performing in local plays and musicals, and now having acted in the film industry since 2017, she stars in films such as "Butchers Bluff," "Sacred Mask," "Cross Traffic," and "Lily."

DeaconRap

DEACONRAP is a locally known Otaku rapper who blends Hip-Hop culture with an upbeat, nerdy twist! He started in 2013 when he recorded and made a music video for Mizuumi con 6. He was well received by both convention staff and con goers. Since then DEACONRAP has performed and/or been a guest at many conventions around the state of Texas, such as San Japan, Pax South, Alamo City Comic Con, Anime Sekai, Delta H Con and many more! 
He has since then released an EP entitled, "Nerd Life". Come join him as he performs songs off his new album which he calls, "Otakus Attack"!

Sephi Hakubi

Sephi Hakubi, is a progressive DJ, multi-media producer, anime enthusiast, and video gamer from Coral Springs, Florida with a big focus in the Anime Fandom and Electronic Dance Music communities. He is the founder and Managing Director of HakubiVerse, a Hard Dance and Trance music and otaku-fandom entertainment label focusing on rave culture with Japanese-fandom influences and pioneering a style called “AnimEDM”.  Previously he founded and led Hau5 of Hakubi and Sushicrowd, groups of fandom artists producing and performing music through various media such as television, radio, and live events. Currently, Sephi is official resident of underground music groups Just Don’t Stop Productions (JDS) and Hard Dance Texas (HD:TX).

Gilbert Carrizales

Although born in Sumter, South Carolina, Gilbert began his musical expedition in San Antonio, Texas during his early teenage years. At 14 he began producing his own music as well as DJing at local clubs & venues. After several years of experimental producing & obtaining loads of different influences & inspiration, Gilbert began to perform live Trance music at age 17. Over the years, he's mastered the elements of building & performing a live set with keyboards, MIDI controllers & laptops. As assumed, he is no longer a DJ, but a Live P.A. At 25, Gilbert has joined the prodigy of producers/artists in the San Antonio EDM scene a long with Edward Lopez, Josh Newell, Bruce Gibbons & James Agruire. Each of these young producers have done & continue to do their share of major accomplishments & just recently Gilbert’s biggest show - opening for Paul Van Dyk @ Club Rio 3/21/2014. Gilbert has had several releases on sub-labels overseas that have support from superstars like Armin Van Buuren, Sean Tyas, & Paul Van Dyk. Continuously growing, Gilbert's main goal is to be on board with major labels such as Vandit, Armada, Anjunabeats & Air Up There Recordings. Gilbert has not just successfully distributed his music in the local EDM scene & in places around the world where his music has touched down, but he's also been able to join the local film industry as well as the Human Rights Campaign. He believes that as an artist, you must strive to express yourself or an idea to help make some kind of difference in the world.

COVID Restrictions/Safety Guidelines

We are following the guidelines placed by the city of San Antonio, the San Antonio Event Center and the celebrity requirements. At this time, masks MUST be worn inside the venue. We will be doing temperature checks upon entry to the convention center. We will also be supplying hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the venue. Social distancing will be implemented as well. You can take selfies with the celebrities BUT you will be required to stay 3-5 feet in front of them.  In the food area, gaming area, and all other common areas will be sanitized continuously. Your safety is our number one priority.
